Yoni Steaming

Yoni steaming, also known as vaginal steaming is an ancient self-care practice involving sitting over warm herbal-infused steam to support vaginal and women's reproductive health. This practice is believed to help with menstrual regulation, postpartum healing, and energetic cleansing. It is commonly used in holistic wellness and traditional medicine.

Beyond the physical benefits, yoni steaming is often viewed as a sacred practice, allowing women to reconnect with their womb space, release stored trauma, and balance feminine energy. Many people incorporate intention-setting, meditation, or ritual elements into their practice.

Benefits

Physical Benefits

  • Menstrual support – may help reduce cramps, bloating, and irregular cycles by increasing circulation and relaxing the pelvic muscles.

  • Postpartum recovery – traditionally used to support healing, reduce swelling, and tone vaginal tissues after childbirth.

  • Increased circulation – the warmth encourages blood flow to the pelvic area, which may support healing and relaxation.

  • Possible relief from infections – some herbs (like mugwort, rosemary, or oregano) can have antimicrobial properties

Emotional & Energetic Benefits

  • Ritual & self-care – creates intentional time to connect with your body, womb, and feminine energy.

  • Emotional release – many women feel it helps release stored tension, grief, or trauma connected to the womb space.

  • Grounding & relaxation – the warmth and herbal aromas can be deeply soothing, similar to a meditation or bath ritual.

Yoni Steaming is not for everyone, if you

• Have an IUD
• Currently menstruating
• Active herpes infection

• Active yeast infection or UTI
• Under 38 weeks pregnant
